Welcome to Rainbow’s End.

A place to pause, play, and reconnect.

From fairy trails and picnic spaces to seasonal rituals and creative play zones, every corner of Rainbow’s End is designed to soothe the nervous system and spark curiosity. Visitors are free to move, rest, forage, or simply be — supported by rhythm, kindness, and the quiet presence of horses nearby.

A gentle place for diverse needs.

If Jigsaw is where our story began, Rainbow’s End is where it continues to grow.

Set just a short walk from the stables, Rainbow’s End is MEPT’s nature-based haven — a place where people of all ages and abilities can rest, reflect, and reconnect with the land, the animals, and themselves. Designed with accessibility and emotional safety in mind, Rainbow’s End offers a gentle, sensory-friendly environment for wellbeing sessions, quiet visits, and community gatherings.

Whether you’re joining us for a supported walk, a wildlife moment, or a cup of tea along the Fairy Path, Rainbow’s End invites you to slow down and breathe.

A landscape of care.

Rooted in kindness, shaped by need.

Rainbow’s End is shaped by MEPT’s trauma-informed ethos. We know that outdoor spaces can be healing — but only when they feel safe, predictable, and inclusive. That’s why we’ve created a landscape that honours choice, comfort, and emotional regulation.

Visitors are free to explore at their own pace, with no pressure to engage in any particular way. Whether you prefer to sit quietly, walk with a companion, or get hands-on with nature-based tasks, your experience is yours to shape.

We offer sensory-friendly adaptations, check-ins, and flexible options for interaction — always guided by respect, curiosity, and care.

Protecting places of peace, connection, and belonging.

In a world of constant development, spaces like Rainbow’s End are becoming increasingly rare—and increasingly vital.

Our green spaces and natural habitats are more than just beautiful backdrops. They are living, breathing ecosystems that support wildlife, regulate our climate, and offer sanctuary for people and animals alike. For many of us—especially those navigating trauma, neurodivergence, or disconnection—these spaces offer something irreplaceable: a sense of calm, safety, and belonging.

At Rainbow’s End, we see daily how nature heals. We witness the quiet transformation that happens when someone sits beside a grazing horse, listens to birdsong, or feels the earth beneath their feet. These moments of connection can’t be replicated in concrete or recreated in a hurry.

That’s why we’re committed to protecting this land—not just for our horses and visitors today, but for the generations to come. Every tree, hedgerow, and patch of wildflower matters. Every fox track, birdsong, and butterfly is part of a delicate, precious web of life.

By visiting Rainbow’s End, supporting MEPT, or simply sharing our story, you’re helping to protect a space where nature, healing, and community can thrive—gently, sustainably, and together.

Community Circles

  • Community Circles are where MEPT’s mission meets the wider community— a welcoming, values-led gathering where stories are shared, voices are heard, and local connections grow.

  • Alongside families, carers, educators, and curious visitors, MEPT hosts Community Circles to invite other local charities, schools, and grassroots groups from Mawdesley and surrounding areas to come together. It’s a space to explore shared values, exchange ideas, and discover practical ways to support one another — whether through partnership, resource-sharing, or simply listening.

Held monthly or in response to community needs, each circle may include warm drinks, creative prompts, nature rituals, or quiet conversation. There’s no pressure to speak or perform — just an open invitation to belong, contribute, and co-create a more connected, compassionate local network.

  • £2–£5, if you’re able — every contribution helps us keep the kettle warm, the resources flowing, and the circle growing.

There’s no right or wrong way to join in—just plenty of space to move, imagine, and have fun.

  • No set fee — just bring your imagination, kindness, and a coin or two if you can. Donations help us keep the Hobby Horse Club full of fun, movement, and magic.
