Events with purpose.
Gentle gatherings, joyful moments, and community in motion.
Our events are designed to bring people together — to celebrate, connect, and share in experiences that feel safe, welcoming, and full of heart. Whether it’s a seasonal open day, a sensory-friendly celebration, or a collaborative workshop with local charities and schools, every event reflects our values: kindness, accessibility, and the healing power of horses (and humans).
We create spaces where everyone belongs — with thoughtful planning, trauma-informed design, and plenty of room for joy. Come join us, and be part of something meaningful.
Community Circles
Community Circles are where MEPT’s mission meets the wider community— a welcoming, values-led gathering where stories are shared, voices are heard, and local connections grow.
Alongside families, carers, educators, and curious visitors, MEPT hosts Community Circles to invite other local charities, schools, and grassroots groups from Mawdesley and surrounding areas to come together. It’s a space to explore shared values, exchange ideas, and discover practical ways to support one another — whether through partnership, resource-sharing, or simply listening.
Held seasonally or in response to community needs, each circle may include warm drinks, creative prompts, nature rituals, or quiet conversation. There’s no pressure to speak or perform — just an open invitation to belong, contribute, and co-create a more connected, compassionate local network.
Meet the Herd
Whether it’s your first time near a horse or a return to something familiar, our Meet & Greet sessions offer a gentle, welcoming introduction to our equine partners.
Designed for all ages and abilities, these sessions create a calm, consent-led space where participants can meet the horses on their own terms — whether that means watching quietly from a distance, offering a treat, or gently saying hello.
Through guided observation and playful activities, participants learn how horses communicate through body language — ears, eyes, posture, breath — and begin to understand how trust is built through curiosity, respect, and choice. Facilitators support each interaction with trauma-informed prompts, helping participants notice their own feelings, regulate their breath, and tune into the horse’s responses.
These sessions are ideal for children, neurodivergent individuals, families, and anyone new to horses. There’s no pressure to touch or lead — just an open invitation to connect, reflect, and discover the quiet magic of being seen and accepted by another living being.
Seasonal Solstice Celebrations
Our Seasonal Solstice Celebrations mark the turning points of the year with gentle, nature-based gatherings that honour rhythm, reflection, and renewal. Rooted in connection — with the land, with each other, and with ourselves — these events offer a sensory-rich experience for families, carers, and neurodivergent individuals.
Held at Rainbow’s End, each celebration blends quiet rituals, creative activities, and mindful movement. Visitors might craft nature lanterns, walk the spiral path, share warm drinks around the fire, or leave wishes at the Wishing Tree. There’s space for quiet observation, storytelling, and gentle interaction with our horses — all at your own pace.
Whether welcoming the light or embracing the stillness, these events invite participants to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the natural cycles that shape us. It’s a time to gather, to ground, and to celebrate the beauty of change — together.
